Healing Through Writing: Celebrating 50K Blog Views
I started writing, while I was going through my divorce, back in December 2014.
All due to the advise from my sister, who said “You should write a journal or a blog”. I replied “I don’t know how to do that”
With in an hour after we talked, I started to write and have been writing ever since.
In the beginning, writing really helped me get everything out of my mind, so I didn’t go crazy. Later, writing became fun and positive.
The past 12 years have been quite a journey.
I have written about;
*The break up of my marriage of 23 years and picking up the pieces after. A shocking and incredibly sad time. https://heleftnowwhatblog.com/2014/12/23/the-back-story/
*Dealing with the legal process. Not for the faint of heart.
*Dating again, after a 25 year relationship. It’s a whole new dating world now.
*The tragic loss of a family member. Another really sad time for our family.
*The divorce being final. Finally, after 19 months.
*Living in the marital home after the divorce. Too many memories, I knew I couldn’t stay there forever.
*The EX getting married to the woman he left me for. Seriously, WTF?
*Selling my house in PA and buying a house in RI. And I did it all by myself. https://heleftnowwhatblog.com/2017/05/20/i-did-it/
*Rehoming 2 of my pets due to the move. Something I had to do sadly.
*Starting a dog sitting business, which brought dogs back into my life and allowed me to meet some new people and make new friends. The extra money wasn’t bad either.
*Being interviewed on my sisters podcast, Women in the Middle, about my story of going through all of this in midlife. https://suzyrosenstein.com/podcast/ep-72-life-after-an-unexpected-divorce-with-lynne-ellen/
*The passing of my beloved dog Casey. All dog owners will understand.
*The transition of the company, that I have worked for 26 years. A scary and unsure time.
*Weekend trips with my cousin. Fun times exploring New England.
*Trips to Canada to visit my sister and her family. Always a fun time.
*Being Isolated during Covid. A very scary time.
*Getting back into art and photography again. Doing craft shows and meeting a lot of new people and making more new friends.
*Opening my Etsy shop https;//www.artbylynnealbright.etsy.com which has been a nice little side hussle.
*My backyard art shows allowed me to get to know more of my neighbors. https://heleftnowwhatblog.com/2022/06/20/3rd-annual-2-day-backyard-art-show/
*My bathroom renovation, my first big home improvement project, since I moved into my house. https://heleftnowwhatblog.com/2021/05/10/bathroom-renovation-2021/
*My EX passing away, which was sad for his family.
*Meeting Dave and our travels. Who knew that I would find love again.
*My Kitchen renovation. My 2nd big home improvement project.

*Breaking my knee at a work function. Definitely NOT in the life plan.
*Turning 60! When did that happen?
