My Quiet New Year’s Eve: Reflections and Hobbies

Hope everyone had a good and safe New Year.

My New Years Eve was quiet. Party of 1. I binge watched the whole series of Bridgerton on Netflix, which I loved. I paused to watch the ball drop and finished the series at 3 am. Once I get started, I can’t stop. It was so worth it.

I am so thankful for Netflix and my hobbies, photography and painting. They really help me fill up time, and keep my mind focused on something positive. Now that winter is here and Covid is running ramped, I am staying home and trying to keep as busy as posible.

I am still addicted to paint pouring and continue to paint. I am running out of room and really hope to sell some online and maybe do some shows in the spring. I have a ton of canvases and paint to keep me busy for a while.

A couple of months ago, one of my photos was accepted into a juried art show. It was such an honor. There is another show, next month, for the members of the art center. Now that I am a member, I am submitting another photo, that I just took about 2 weeks ago.

I have ordered a 16″x20″ print and will have it framed for the art show. I will post more, once my photo is officially accepted.

I am cautiously optimistic about what this year will bring. I am being as safe as I can and keeping my bubble as small as possible. It could be a while till life is back to normal.

In the mean time, since I cant go on vacation this year, I am going to have my bathroom renovated. I met a contractor that I like and have a 2nd meeting with them to go over the details. I am gathering ideas and will start to purchase everything. The reno will start in March. I am so excited and this gives me something to look forward to. Will post before and after pics when its all done.

Stay safe, Stay home, Stay positive.
