I cant believe that I have submitted 100 posts to my blog.
My sister suggested that I write a blog, back in 2014, the year the shit hit the fan when my marriage ended abruptly.
I started writing about what was happening to me, as it was happening to me. Divorce is no fun to go through or write about, but once I started, I sort of couldn’t stop.
I look back to where I was in 2014 and how far I have come since then.
I am proud of myself for what I have accomplished. Instead of saying “I cant believe that I have to do this myself”, I now say “wow, I cant believe I did this myself!!”
I left my home, of 25 years and the state I lived in for 45 years. I left my mother and 3 sisters and moved 3 states away for a new life. It’s only a 5 hour drive away so its not too far to go home or for visitors to come for a stay.
Such a change from a land locked state to a state with water everywhere! I am 2 blocks from the beach!!!
So the writing topics changed from the negative to the positive as I started to put my life back together.
Once I moved, I had tons to write about. I was so excited to tell people all about my new home and surroundings. So many new things and places to explore. I have made a bunch of new friends, joined a great walking group through meetup, started a dog sitting business and met a really great guy, all in 15 months!
The response to my blog has been fun to watch. In 2017, my biggest year so far, my blog was read in 30+ countries and with over 10,000 views! I know my blog is small in the blogging world but I cant believe so many people, from around the world are reading what I am writing!

I want to thank all of you that have taken the time to read my stories. They are not earth shattering but they are mine. Maybe they will help someone, maybe they will make you laugh, maybe they will give you ideas of traveling to the New England area, and if so, drop me line and stop for a visit.
I will keep writing, as long as their is something to write about. I would highly recommend writing, if not for public consumption, then for yourself in a private journal. Writing helped me get through the rough times by getting it out of my head. Now writing is fun.
Wow, 100 posts! That’s awesome! If someone would’ve told you to do that I bet you would’ve thought of it as punishment. Yet here it is a wonderful and healing part of your new life. Hoping good things keep coming your way!! Congrats!
