Doggy Guest # 53, Leia

This was Leia’s first time at Lynne’s Doggy BnB, and she was a really great guest.

Leia was here for a week. Like most dogs, she was a little scared, for the first 2 days. She did open up a little bit more to me, over time. She was still timid and loud noises scared her.

Some dogs don’t eat their food, in the beginning of their stay, and Leia was one of those dogs. So to get her to eat, I sprinkled shredded cheese in her food, which she loved, and she continued to eat every day.

She brought her own bed and 5 toys, which she did NOT use. Instead, she ONLY slept in one of my dog beds, and the couch, next to me, which I did not mind at all.

I believe that Leia’s home is an apartment, so I dont know how much she gets to really run around. So a couple of days into her stay here, all of the sudden, she got the zoomies, in my back yard. It was so great to see her being playful.

Sometimes, she wouldn’t come inside, from the backyard. I learned that she was very well trained and all I had to say was “sit” and slip her leash on her, and then she would walk inside easily.

She also learned how to use my pet door in seconds. So smart.

I would definitely watch Leia again.

I did not have any dogs, after March in 2020, but I have gotten lots of requests for 2021. Lots of repeat guests and couple of more new guests as well.

In other news… I am getting my 2nd shot this week, YAY!

The bathroom renovation is almost done, so that post will follow soon.

And, for the first time, in 8 years, I am taking a vacation!!!!!
